Auction Rules, Terms & Conditions

The below constitutes the entire rules and requirements of participating in the Give Me Liberty Gala, or any other United We Pledge auction event.

  1. Each guest (“Bidder”) will be given a program with a bid number on the back at check-in. To bid in the live auction, hold your bid card high with the number toward the auctioneer.
  2. By bidding in the live auction, each Bidder agrees to all these rules.
  3. The highest bidder the auctioneer acknowledges is the winner and is a legal contract to purchase the item.
  4. Payment in full is required by the of the event. You may pay via Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Check or Cash. Preauthorized cards will be automatically processed.
  5. Auction items will be awarded to a single purchaser. All items must be paid for in a single transaction. If you determine to jointly purchase an item, a single purchaser is still required and you are responsible for collecting the funds to present to United We Pledge at the conclusion of the event.
  6. The Auctioneer reserves the right to settle any and all disputes, complaints, misunderstanding, errors, and sales at their discretion.The Auctioneer’s decision is final.
  7. Some limits, including blackout dates, separate terms, fees and expenses may apply to auction items.
  8. Restaurant and hotel stays exclude tax, gratuities and liquor, unless specified.
  9. Should any item need to be shipped, the buyer is responsible for all shipping charges.
  10. Unless otherwise specified, all items and services must be used within one year of purchase.
  11. Any physical item will be available at the checkout table during and after the auction. You must have paid before items will be released.
  12. Dates for trips or experiences must be arranged with the donor unless otherwise noted. All reservations should be made at least 1 month in advance. No refunds are permitted for canceled, lost, or unused tickets and/or accommodations.
  13. United We Pledge attempts to describe and catalogue all items accurately. However, all items and packages are sold “as-is.” United We Pledge, the auctioneer and donors make no warrantees nor guarantees regarding condition or value. By purchasing, buyers waive claims for injury, damage or dissatisfaction.
  14. United We Pledge shall in no event be held responsible for the correctness of descriptions, genuineness, authorship, provenance, or condition of the property. No statement contain on this or any other webpage, catalog, or other information source shall be construed to present any warranty, representation or assumption of liability.
  15. Each Bidder assumes all risks and hazards associated to the auction and items obtained at the auction.
  16. Bidders agree to hold United We Pledge, and it’s associated employees, members, officials, the auctioneer, auction company, and its agents and employees, the event organizers, sponsors and/or volunteers connected with the auction harmless from any liability arising from any bid or purchase therefrom.
  17. United We Pledge reserves the right to add or withdraw—without notice—items from or to the auction.
  18. All purchases are final. No exchanges or refunds except where otherwise indicated.
