Teaching Principle: LIBERTY

A Place Called AMERICA’S COUNTY

America's County Promotes Liberty

Early settlers to Washington County carved a community from
the desert, building homes, schools, churches, and businesses
through grit, cooperation, and hope.

The land has shaped its people as much as the people have
shaped this land. It continues to do so with those who call this
place home.

Water means survival in the desert, and taking care of the water
is a shared duty passed from generation to generation.

To be part of America’s County is to do more than enjoy freedom.

It means looking out for one another, caring for the land, and
teaching the rising generation that liberty is rooted in
responsibility, service, and community.

Every act of kindness, every shared lesson, and every voice help
keep these values alive.

Here, liberty is learned and lived, and then passed forward.

This is Washington County’s story—still being written by all who
call this place home, and everyone who comes to experience it.

“Washington County, Utah is America’s County, [an] example of freedom in the land of liberty…
this land will be a beacon to the world of how a community thrives in liberty.”
