Volunteers Needed For These Projects & Events

Independence Day Flag Helpers

United We Pledge has a tradition to carry a flag during the 4th of July parade in St. George, UT. We also unfurl the flag during the 4th of July Celebration at the stadium.

We need volunteers for both places. The parade route is 1.1 mile in length.

Date: July 4

Parade Time: 7:00 am to 10:00 am

Unfurling Time: 5:30 – 8:00 pm (From check-in through the performance)

Parade Location: 200 W and Tabernacle (Look for the big flag! Her name is Miss Liberty. You won’t be able to miss her.)

 

Unfurling Location: Greater Zion Stadium at Utah Tech University 501 S 700 E (Enter on SE Corner of stadium)

American Heritage & GML Galas

Honoring our ancestors’ achievements and looking to the future achievements of our Give Me Liberty students can bring the community together. By participating, you will help United We Pledge raise the funds needed to administer this program appropriately.

You will also be able to see youth affected by the GML program, get to tour the bus and interact with people from all over the nation.

June 30 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm (rehearsal)

July 4 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm (check in and performance)

Give Me Liberty Historical Character

Our primary objective is teaching the Give Me Liberty program in schools around the state. If you have a passion for acting like a revolutionary-era persona, contact us. We need you and the students in your local elementary and middle schools need you!

Engage those younger than you with stories of freedom and bravery. Play games and focus youth’s attention on the things that matter concerning our nation’s founding and the ideals that guide us today.

General Duties & Responsibilities of a United We Pledge Volunteer

We are searching for dependable and trustworthy volunteers to join and support United We Pledge and other UWP-supported affiliate organizations with confluent values. We hope you will join us and bring your unique contributions!

We are looking for volunteers who can fulfill various tasks and responsibilities:

  • Uphold the values of UWP.
  • Complete any relevant training and ask questions if you are uncertain about anything.
  • Demonstrate active listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work as part of a team.
  • Complete all duties assigned by the supervisor and report any issues immediately.
  • Observe the rules and safety regulations of the organization while carrying out tasks.
  • Be punctual.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor in all of your interactions with all stakeholders.
  • Be respectful and diligent.
  • Make recommendations for improvement where feasible and appropriate.
  • Deliver presentations or reports if necessary.
  • Communicate with the supervisor or relevant stakeholders when you are running late or unable to fulfill your duties.
  • Have reliable transportation.
  • Be accompanied by an adult if you are under the age of 18.
