Your Support, Our Work. Together we are “Educating Youth, Strengthening Community, and Building for the Future”
This year marked a defining chapter for United We Pledge—and it is a chapter largely written by you.
Because of generous donors, dedicated volunteers, and committed community partners, United We Pledge (UWP) expanded its reach and deepened its impact while continuing our mission of bringing understanding and relevancy of America’s founding principles to the next generation.
A Strategic Step Forward
In 2025, United We Pledge and Liberty Village officially and fully separated, each becoming its own independent 501(c)(3) organization. This intentional transition clarified our focus and strengthened our effectiveness.
While operating independently, both organizations remain united in purpose: educating our community—especially its youth—about the foundational principles that shape our nation. For United We Pledge, this clarity allowed us to focus more directly on outreach and education through the Give Me Liberty (GML) program.
Community Support Fuels Our Growth
Last year, United We Pledge raised $150,000 through two major fundraising events—our February gala and June golf tournament—along with generous community support throughout the year. These funds directly enabled us to expand beyond Washington County and bring civics education to new communities.
Your support also allowed us to connect with the public at the County Fair, Hoodfest at Dixie Tech, the Hot Bike Tour at Harley-Davidson, and many other local events—building awareness, partnerships, and long-term sustainability.
What It Takes to Reach the Youth
Your donations translate directly into impact.
On average, it costs about $50 per student to educate, inspire, and reach a young person through the Give Me Liberty program. This includes educational materials, student awards, professional actor-educators who bring history to life, and the maintenance, drivers, and educators required to operate the GML bus.
Every dollar donated helps place civics education directly into classrooms. As our reach grows, building is essential to serving schools consistently and expanding responsibly.
Impact You Can Feel
During the 2024–2025 school year, Give Me Liberty reached approximately 1,400 students. This year, thanks to donor support, we directly reached more than 1,800 youth, expanding into Iron County, Mesquite (Nevada), and Beaver Dam (Arizona), with Utah County and Salt Lake County next.
The impact is felt in classrooms. One teacher recently shared:
“The presenters were phenomenal. They kept the students engaged, and it was clear they have spent a lot of time preparing.”
When students see history come alive, curiosity grows and conversations continue long after the presentation ends.
Powered by an Extraordinary Volunteer Corps
Our work is strengthened by volunteers who embody the very civic spirit we strive to teach.
With hundreds of volunteers contributing at least 2,000 hours, we’ve been able to impact the community in meaningful ways—from carrying the flag and developing GML curriculum, to creating a memorial in Town Square Park honoring fallen first responders.
A New Home Rooted in History
For years, we were grateful to operate from offices at the Balance of Nature building. As our programs grew, so did the need for a space of our own.
When Washington County regained control of the historic Pioneer Courthouse and invited United We Pledge to be part of its future, we proudly said yes.
The Pioneer Courthouse—one of the first major public buildings in Washington County—stands as a symbol of lawfulness, civic order, and the determination of pioneering families who built a free community in the desert. Today, that legacy continues.
This courthouse will be a place for gathering, learning, and thoughtful conversation—and a permanent home for United We Pledge. Renovations are underway, with an official move-in date of January 24, 2026.
Looking Ahead: 2026
The Give Me Liberty program grew dramatically in 2025—but next year, our goal is to be bigger, better, and more far-reaching. These initiatives are already underway, and your support makes them possible.
Our 2026 Priorities
- Give Me Liberty in Every Elementary School in Washington County
While we currently serve most elementary schools in the county, our goal for 2026 is full participation—ensuring every elementary student in Washington County has access to the Give Me Liberty program. - Middle School Curriculum Development
We are actively developing a middle school curriculum that goes deeper into foundational principles while exploring how those principles continue throughout U.S. history. Students will study constitutional amendments, key precedents, and why liberty—and the ideas behind it—still matters today.
- Expansion Beyond Southwest Utah
Building on existing partnerships, we are working to implement the full Give Me Liberty program in:
- Northern Arizona
- Clark County, Nevada
- Surrounding counties of Washington County
We are also expanding northward with a modified version of the program to reach 7–10 schools in Northern Utah, with 7 already committed to the program starting the last week of January!
- America250, the Utah Legislature & State Board of Education
As the nation approaches America’s 250th birthday, United We Pledge will be working with:
- The Utah State Legislature on creative program implementation and potential funding opportunities
- The Utah State Board of Education to ensure curriculum alignment with core standards
- State and local America250 planning commissions to develop meaningful educational events highlighting the founding of this great nation
Have an idea for America250? We’d love to hear it—send it our way.
An Invitation for You!
As we close the year, we invite you to help us reach 1,000 more students in 2026. This would mean approximately 3000 youth reached in 2026. This would bring our impact, at the end of the school year in 2027, to more than 6000 youth reached since last year’s inaugural launch.
Recurring Donations
Become a sustaining supporter today. Monthly giving allows us to plan ahead, schedule schools with confidence, and expand our reach where it’s needed most.
If you choose to give before the end of the year, your donation may be tax-deductible (please consult your accountant about how charitable deductions work when donating to a 501(c)(3)).
